![]() ![]() And, just as you may be about to find a hacking device to get it back, Pennington asks what's happening. ![]() Before you have a chance to give chase, the trio teleports/runs away. It wasn't hard, but here is an excerpt from my walkthrough to tell you how to get it: "OH NO! Doopliss and the Shadow Sirens have beaten you to the Crystal Star. She'll cook up a Honey Shroom and tell you that she can now cook with two items!įirst, you need to obtain the L Emblem from Poshley Sanctum. There's nothing else left, so leave this room." A bit lengthy, but I had to make sure you got everything in that room. In this room, there is an Ice Smash badge, a Cookbook, a Shine Sprite, and a Star Piece (behind the couch). Start by putting Mario into Tube Mode, then rolling into a hole upwards of the entrance. You can go several directions here, but I suggest doing them as I put them in this FAQ. From this side, approach the gate again to unlock it, then enter Creepy Steeple. Find the hole to the right of the gate, then use Tube Mode to get underneath it. Approach the gate and see if it's unlocked. If not, here is an exceprt from the walkthrough of this FAQ on how to get it: "The haunted tower, Creepy Steeple, truly lives up to its name. She wants you to find a book by some chef in Creepy Steeple. Reward: Honey Shroom, ability to cook with two items Shell Slam (two promotions): Base damage of move - 6 (piercing all ground enemies) FP Cost - 6 Action Command - Repeatedly "flick" the Control Stick to the left. Shell Shield (one promotion): Base damage of move - 0 protects Mario for several turns FP Cost - 4 Action Command - Hold the Control Stick to the left and release it when the cursor is close to the center of the bar. Power Toss (unpromoted): Base damage of move - 2 (all ground enemies) FP Cost - 3 Action Command - Hold the Control Stick to the left and release it when the star lights up. Shell Toss (unpromoted): Base damage of move - 2 (ground-only) FP Cost - 0 Action Command - Hold the Control Stick to the left and release it when the star lights up. Hold X to hold it in place and let Mario move a bit. If you want, you could just stop at Floor 50 after getting the sack, since the reward for doing the entire pit isn't really worth it, and the only real reward is the satisfaction of completing the challenge itself.Field Ability: Press X to shoot his shell in the direction Mario is facing. You'll have to restart from floor 1 again, but this would make it easier for you to survive the whole pit. Since you already know about the Strange Sack, it might be best to go to Floor 50, get the sack, and then go out of the pit and restock your items so that you have 20 items when going through the pit. The Mega Rush P badge is located in Mayor Kroop's backyard in Petalburg, and the P-Up, D-Down badge for Mario can be found in Riverside Station, while the partner equivalent is found in the Palace of Shadow. ![]() The merchant in Rogueport sells a Mega Rush badge on occasion, but only for Mario, which costs 60 coins. If you don't have the card, complete Frankie's trouble in Rogueport, it doesn't take that long. Dazzle sells the Power Plus and Power Plus P badges, and the Pianta Parlor sells Power Rushs if you have the Gold card. Shooting Stars can be a good alternative, since they do 6 hp of damage, and can be bought in Fahr Outpost's shop for 30 coins.Īs for badges, try to find ones that increase your attack stat. First, you'll need to make a coconut bomb and an egg bomb, both of which require a fire flower and either a coconut (Found in background of bridge screen on Keelhaul Key) and a Mystic Egg (gotten from Petuni, when playing her minigame in the Great Boggly Tree.) After getting the coconut and egg bombs, cook them both together to get the Zess Dynamite, which does 7 hp of damage to all enemies, regardless of their defenses. Zess Dynamite: Another item that is cheap to get, but requires a lot of backtracking. Overall the best healing item in the game, but Ultra Shrooms and Jammin' Jellys are really expensive to buy, with a price of 200 coins in the Underground Depot store and 120 coins from the merchant in Rogueport's central area, but he only sells one of each in the whole game. Jelly Ultra: Made with Ultra Shroom and Jammin' Jelly. This item restores 40 Hp and 40 Fp, and is completely free to get, but you have to do a lot of backtracking as a result. Zess Deluxe: Made with a Whacka Bump (found on first screen of Keelhaul Key by whacking Whacka) and a Golden Leaf (Found by slipping through a crack in the gate and hitting the tree on the Northern exterior "hallway" in Creepy Steeple). To find the cookbook, it is located in Creepy Steeple in a hidden room from the main room where you'll have to use tube mode to find it. If you don't have the cookbook yet, do Zess T's trouble.
